Stephen Bingham

Sylvia’s father, is an attorney for Bay Area Legal Aid in California, in the San Francisco regional office, and specializes in welfare law issues. He was honored for his decades of service to low-income clients by the National Lawyers Guild by being presented with the prestigious 2009 Champion of Justice Award.

Francoise Blusseau

Sylvia’s mother, is a French teacher at Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco. She also has a librarian degree.

James Jacobs

Related to Sylvia through marriage, is co-founder of the Foundation. He is an environmental and resource geologist and Fulbright Scholar, focusing on environmental issues.
